I like mine at 7.5 to 8 degrees BTDC using the 7.3 pulse timing method.

see i heard advancing the timing to much will hurt the engine. Also i dont know where i heard from stock when you put a turbo on retard it 4degrees.
thanks,
Jimmy

No connection between the turbo and the IP. Same timing for both.

ok thank you very much. my next question is how badly can it effect the boost of a turbo can it magorly effect a turbo's boost alot by just beign a little off? Well for all i know mine can be way off. my pump was rebuilt i stuck it on there and had the power stoke nock. so i retarded it untill i didn't hear the nock anymore then went even more. when i had the nock i had the timing marks lined up and it nocked loud. so i retarded it about 1/16 and the nock was pretty quiet well now its reateded now that the 2lines are about 1/4 inch apart. and no nock. i mean i got more boost out of the turbo here then when it was to far advanced. now i get 4pound out of it right now.. and 5 when i am really on it. i hope its jsut a timign problem and then my turbo will work correctly. if not then i 100% know i got riped off. i got to wait till the timing is done before i see what to do with the turbo.
thanks guys!
