"A while after you bought yours the manufacturer went to China for manufacturing and they were crap. We found a more robust valve, but I ran the one you had for 5 years with no trouble. I changed only because they new ones had to be tested as well. If yours is working- leave it alone. "

The white line will shut off only on Max A/C setting, that's what I used. The red line will shut it off on all settings except for floor heat only.

Manual valves are simple, cheap, and they work, but if your climate is anything like mine where it's sometimes cold in the morning and you need heat, then gets hot in the afternoon and you want Max A/C - the vaccum operated valves work well.

Yep, I bought the Bob the Diesel-stuff. Looks nice, I should get it Friday so weekend it is going in.
Today (not hot yet, only 96F) it was necessary to keep the A/C in the MAX almost all the time. Mine gots pretty cool after 5-10 min driving but you know when the "real" summer arrives here, the MAX is maybe not enough anymore and I have the CC so there's plenty of room needed to be cooled down.

Yep, I'm here. Just moved from Colorado last December. And I was wondering why it was so cold in here fro the December - March!! It hit 34F one morning and I started to look where to buy the winter tires
Well when I moved down here, I started immediatelly to look a truck for me, because you're in Texas, you need the truck, I think that's in the law
I'm visiting the Mexico once a while in business matters, so I needed something that I don´t have to be worried if somebody hit me or if the roads disappears sometimes. This truck is a "no problemo" vehicle for me. What ever happens, I'm always in the winners side.
As you may know, the guys in the other side doesn't have any insurances, even when they are driving in USA I know that from experience...

Yes sir. Sounds like your going about it the right way. And yeah it is an unspoken rule. If you live in Texas, you have to own a truck and not just a Truck, but A FORD TRUCK. Yeah I believe you are breaking the Law in Texas if you don't drive a truck. They will shoot yah if yah dont own at least one. LOL. I'll tell yah that I had never heard of this A/C mod before either. I'm glad I saw this. I had an A/C tech, here where I live in S.CA tweak my A/C system. He removed a connector on the passenger side under the hood and installed a switch that makes the A/C cycle on sooner so that it forces it to keep the cab cooler by not waiting as long to kick in. Works great too. And now the added benefit of this mod is really going to prepare me for the next trip to Texas. I might look as blue as this guy by the time I get there with the A/C mods I've done to my truck.

Installed the DieselSites A/C mod. today. Took 25 min. to put it in (it was 94F in shadow, so I did everything calmly).

Results:
1. I measured the coolest point in Max A/C before this mod:
Outside temp: 94F
During 10min driving , the coldest the A/C got was 50F , measured from the mid vent with fan speed II.

2. After mod was in:
Outside temp the same 94F
The coldest through A/C Max, 42F , measured from the same point, fan speed and same driving time. It is almost OK beer temp?

So 8F degree drop . But it felt much cooler than what the thermometer showed. You can catch cold with this thing now.

What I did not measure, was the time how fast it got the coldest temp. I'm pretty sure it gets cooler faster too.

I installed the ranger valve you have me second guessing myself I will have to check again but hooked to the red line the valve closed only in max ac ,ac &, vent . I have no before temp but after install 88 degrees ambient 60 mph on max ac center vent I had 37*.

It's very possible that I am incorrect as well. I would just be worried about losing heat in defrost. That would be the one I would check to be sure it's still working, and pumping out heat too.

This White line connection is OK enough for me:
Today 88*F, not straight sun shine and the A/C Max air from the center vent after 10min drive was 39*F
