Well, this is now on my todo list...hahaha, dang PMS, wheee...this along with the A/C spacer mod and I think the A/C will cause icicles on the ears...looking forward to doing this one...so are my wife and kids. They got tired of the A/C getting warm every 20 minutes on our last trip, and secretly, so did I.

What's the A/C spacer mod? Did a search and haven't found it. Did the diverter mod and it works great.

Read through this thread and it will help you. Basically what you are doing is checking the gap of the clutch on the compressor. It should be between .25 and .30 . It is about a 20 minute fix and will have the air blowing super cold. There are shims that may need to be removed to get your gap to this, but do make sure that the clutch engages and disengages or will cause damage.......

Replace the resistor block for the heater blower motor on the passenger side fire wall. Good chance when you pull the resistor block out you will find a blown resistor.

I don't believe so. The temperature is controlled by regulating the flow of hot coolant to flow through the heater core.

The problem this mod deals with is that the stock valve does not chut off completely when you're trying to get the msot from your system. A manual valve takes away the temperature control's ability to regulate the coolant flow altogether, that's why a vacuum-actuated valve is recommended for use with the MAX A/C white vacuum line... this let's the regular A/C and Vent and Bi-Level settings retain control over the stock regulating valve.

Once you've installed a manual ball valve, the regulating valve can move all it wants to but the manual valve will not let the coolant flow, so your temperature control cannot function at all.

The thread linked below provides you with a summary document of what this thread contains, and it might be easier to trace out the issues there.

Hey guys, Clay told me that the part from DieselLite, that's $47 bucks can be purchased at any auto parts store for less money...it is a common part for a ranger, not sure what the part number(s) are, but i am so confident in these folks on FTE, that i know somebody does...

Does anyone have a picture of the location of the red and white vacume hose to tee off of? I've looked behind my glove box and only see a white line.

If you follow the black and white lines you see back toward the center of the truck, you'll see a plug that has several color vacuum lines (they look more like wires). Once you lower the glove box, just look to the left.

Probably

I'm not a computer genius, but the 2 methods I know how to use are either to use the "Manage Attachments" button in the advanced reply option, or the easier way is to upload the photos into your gallery. Then open the gallery in a separate tab and select the picture you want to insert. If you right click the picture you want in your thread you can select something that says "copy image location" or something similar. I use Firefox so that's the option I get. Then go back to your post and click on the little envelope looking thing that looks like this A little window pops up and you just paste the image location you copied earlier into that pop up. Hit OK and you've got a picture in your post.

We do have a testing section in the forum here where you can practice doing this. Feel free to use my gallery if you want to try and figure this out.
