Front Sheet Metal Assembly Order on 48-50

I am getting close to assembling the front sheet metal on my 48. I was planning on going in the following order.

1. Inner fenders
2. Fender brackets
3. Grille
4. Hood
5. Upper fenders
6. Lower fenders and Valance
7. Running boards
8. Bed
9. Rear fenders

Hopefully, I didn't leave anything out. If I should do this in some other order I'd like to know. Also, I thought that I might have two right or two left fender brackets. On the driver's side the hole that bolts to the lower fender is toward the front. On the passenger side that hole is toward the rear. I looked at my stock F-1 and it is the same way. Did this truck come with the same bracket to fit each side or are there supposed to be right and left brackets with the hole toward the front or rear on both sides?

I'm not the greatest with a camera...in fact, I don't even own one. I use the disposables you get at Wally World but I will make an attempt AND I'll have to get my scanner working to put them up.

You can do the hood at any point - it's independent of all the rest.

Only area where sequence is important is in the grille/valance/fenders/hood latch mechanism. Not much room to work in there, but if you look where the bolts/nuts will go it becomes obvious.

As I recall there is only one fender bracket used for both sides.

Bolting the innerfender/bracket/radiator support together takes three hands and 2 helpers IF you mount the rad support to the frame first. Do yourself a favor and put the rad support/inner fender and bracket together as a unit so you can easily hit the cage nuts.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. And, yes, the brackets look the same.

Thanks for the bracket info. My thought on the hood was that it needed to be on to help with lining up the fenders but I guess since it overlaps them instead of fitting in between it can wait until the end. I think I'd rather wait on the hood until later if possible...
