Bronco MPG

Everybody, I am trying to sell my Jeep Wrangler in hopes of getting a Bronco or maybe a Blazer. But for you guys that have the latest body style what kind of mileage do you get in stock configuration?

Here's a website that might help answer your question:

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/

Just click on the FIND AND COMPARE CARS link on the top left corner.
Hope this helps!

In a heavy truck with a V8, it won't be good on gas, but people can get anywhere from 12-16mpg on stockish Broncos pretty often, depending on condition of engine and what not, and driveing habits.

lift, tire size, visor, no visor, weather(temp), gears, tire air pressure and so on and so forth. Good luck, I think no matter what you'll like having a Bronco. Try to get the newest one you can with a 5.8 and the E4OD. They were made until 96.

I can occasionally get 18 mpg on highway. City is 10 - 12, but a good portion of that is sitting at the red light or stuck in a traffic jam, so that's not very relevant.

I continue to get 18.3 mpg on the hiway. Mine has a 302 AOD and I usually travel at about 70-75 mph. Around town probably 12-13

I got 13.96mpg average for 9 months, mostly in-town and a couple highway jaunts, driving very conservatively for gas mileage; with a tach it's easy to optimize your driving style. The truck was a '92 Bronco Eddie Bauer with 302 and AOD. I as well got good mileage on the highway, anywhere from 17.5 to 19. I'd still be getting that if I hadn't wrecked it...oops!

I listed my truck above on the fueleconomy.gov site that LadyBronco listed above.

The E40d's really high overdrive gear keeps the RPMs pretty low out on the highway.

I just finished putting on about 3,000 miles during my summer holidays. It was 90% highway miles and I averaged almost 18 MPG - 89 with a 302, AOD, stock vehicle.

My 95 w/351 got 16 hwy if I kept it over 75mph. Dont know why but it always did better on gas between 75 and 80. Now I get 13 w/4.10 gears and 32's Better than I thought with the new gears. Worst thing about the bronco is filling that 32 gallon tank from empty nearly 90$$$ now.

It's a really kick in the nuts alright - gas here in Edmonton is about $3.75/gal USD or $1.15/L CAD.

Have you recalibrated you PSOM/speedometer for the new gears and tire size? That could be your mileage trouble.
