NJ,

Welcome! I'm still pretty new at this and get GREAT info and insight from our elders. Personally, I'm a purist and believe in keeping Ford with Ford...I think these trucks have historical significance.

But as said before, this is your truck for you and your father to decide what's cool and what you'll enjoy .

You could always convert to Marmon-Harrington if you're set on a 4X4 .

Me personally though, I'd Keep it stock in appearance and have some fun with the drivetrain and suspension on such a beautiful panel

That one picture in your gallery would be my dream yard sale! Just old ford parts laid out waiting for me

Keep us updated

Talking

We've got tons of good used and NOS parts, but most of them we are going to use to replace things like the 75% bondo'd fenders. The parts are mostly 53 p/u parts. I DO have things that we probably won't use and might sell to help with he costs of obtaining other parts. I know we have a pair of 53 Pickup Tailights (new Ford, 1 in original box, one out), New V8 Radiator (was for flat head V8) still in the box, old Radiators good for cores, rebuilt carb for flathead (in box), etc. We planned on a flathead conversion, but had to give up our extra motor and frame during a move a few years back. If anyone needs something specific, PM me, because I am working on a list of parts. I am not too sure what to part with just yet, but if the offer is right who knows.
