My wife does'nt even want me driveing my truck any more do to the bad milage. Is there something I can do????????////
Three weeks and no progress. From your first post, quoted above, I thought something else was the problem. Everyone in this thread has been suggesting solutions to your problem. Everthing from "tailgate down" to "take it to another dealer". Most of the posts reference the gas mileage the poster is getting

What would you like to have someone else do? Take it to another dealer for ya? Should we have the PCM re-flashed for ya?

Is it under warranty??? If so, TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER!

Or, better yet, CALL FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE, 1-800-392-3673, and tell them about the problems you have with the mileage and the dealer.

Or give it to someone else to drive for a week, like your wife, and see what mileage they get. Are you sure it's not stuck in 4x4 mode? Maybe it's the way the fuel in your area is formulated, as you said. Are you using the "Ford Recommended Fuel, BP"? Not that using BP fuel will make a difference.

One of your prior posts mentioned going to look at a 4.6, maybe you should do that. Your mileage will improve. Have you done any of what was suggested in this three week thread?

So tell us, what other help do you need to fix this mileage problem?

could some of the poor mileage claims in this thread be due to different blends of fuel from different parts of the country, what baout the e10 or e15?

i just cant beleive some of the numbers...my 05 pcitured in my gallery got 12-14 mpg pulling 5500 lbs.....unlaoded it got 15-16 in town, 17-18 on the highway at about 75...i got these numbers consistantly, all hand calced

Hey Kubota.... I get about the same mileage as you do. I just returned from a trip to the mountains towing my 7000lb travel trailer. When I pulled backinto the driveway I checked the mileage. I had logged 250 miles. MPG was 12.5. This is all towing, long grades pulling the trailer. Hell, the truck even works pulling on flat ground. I drive with OD off and still getting better mileage. Geddy, please take your truck to another dealer. You might have to drive to get there but somethings definately not right.
