ok so i got my little 2.3 turbo to run...but it runs horrible and is hard to keep running, so i ran a computer on it and it threw out the codes 58, 66, and 81 ...all seeming to do with the vane airflow circut being faulty, i figured ok bad maf/vane airflow sensor because they were known to go pretty easy, bought a new one and im still throwing codes.....
so i rechecked my wiring because this engine is out of an 88 turbo coupe and is now in my 86 ranger...now the wire diagram out of the chilton book for the tbird is showing me diff color wires to the vane air sensor then what is actually there...but it also ties in with the tp sensor in the diagram which has the correct colors...i rechecked and there is no other plug that could fit that sensor...so i am lost...what exactly is the path of the wires off of the vane airflow sensor?...are there any other possibilities it could be???
also the colors in the diagram are showing org/wht and wht/blk commin off the computer goin to the vane air sensor then from there org/wht goin to the tp sensor and blk/wht goin in a chain back to the computer...the wires on the vane airflow sensor though right now are tan/lt grn, purple/wht, grey, brwn/wht ....
