66 Bed Repair

66 Bed Repair
I have a '66 styleside that has rust through the bed from the front of the bed (by the cab) about 6" toward the rear. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement bed panel. I have asked several Ford parts dealers and all have told me that replacement panels are not available for 64 - 66.
I have heard that early Bronco bed are similar.

Look on www.macsautoparts.com. They have everything and you can order free catalogs. I know they have wood floor kits. I thought they had some for regular beds. They have the strips for 8' beds for in between the wood. I've bought stuff from them before they are good guys! Hope I could help!

Have same issue w/ 65 F100 lwb. Just recieved copy of NPD catalog and see where they sell the bed panels, to include bed floor repair sections, for later model Ford styleside pickups. Believe bed patterns are different, but if able to patch and not be too noticle I may go that route. Considering running replacements down sides of bed since center section intact. Another alternative is keep eye out for donor truck.

Guys The beds are very simular in size for many years. One might consider using his current bed sides and tailgate on a later floor and inner walls. I have a photo of this having been done on my website. Surely something to think about.

something to seriously think about , and, IMO a heck of a lot better way to go than an inferior, Chebby-like wood floor

That truck was being fabricated in Vermont. It is one of the OLD members of the Slicks way back on the start of the Yahoo site soon after leaving Excite. It gave me the basis for fabricating my Split Uni Crew Cab bed using the salvaged quarter panels from my first uni i ever worked on in 1977.
The Height is 100 Percent correct to hang slick quarter panels off of and a heck of a lot easier to obtain full bed bottom and side panels for. An added plus is it bolts 100 percent to a 72 and later wide upgrade frame.
