Nitrous in a non EFI engine?

As the title states... Can you put nitrous in a carb engine?

yes you can. most kits use a plate that sits under the carb and has fuel and nos lines that run to it. most of the manufacturers have them and are fairly simple to install. someone may chime in and say which brand is better but for the most part they all are the same.

Thank you! Now how do you tune it for nitrous? Because I know on an EFI system, there would be 2 tunes for N/A and say a 100hp shot of nitrous. But with carb, you would have to manually adjust the carb everytime you want to use nitrous wouldn't you?

im not positive but im pretty sure thats why they have the fuel line on the nos plate. when the system isspraying it suplize fuel threw nozzels like the nos to increase fuel so there is no playing with the carb when you want to use it. its basically a "wet kit" if you know what that is.

There are two nozzles. They are calibrated to deliver the correct amount of nitrous and fuel provided the pressures are correct.

It's funny, being old I'd say: "Can you run nitrous on an EFI system?" I understand that plate systems implicitly; dry systems, well...
