its hard to say actually, if your a purist and want the original tire size, i cant help you there, those were the days of the bias ply radials and the system of determining tire size has since changed, but a good rule of thumb that i was told by a good friend w/30 years in the auto mechanical field, a 235/75/15 is a good standard tire size for a full size truck, now that all changes depending on what you use your truck for. mild off-road w/no susp. changes(stock) biggest you should go is 30x9.50x15, now if that number confuses anyone this size tire is known as a floatation size and is slightly taller and wider than the 235/75/15, about 1"-1.5"either way.and remember that now people are using bigger wheels and lower profile tires, to figure this one you follow this system, if you start with a 15" wheel, for every inch you go up rim size you must come down in sidewall height (thats the middle number in the size) or the speedo will be very incorrect.and with computers in our vehicles now and a.b.s. brake systems it can cause some major trouble and headaches.when you buy tires ask questions about the products and tell them what you want from the tires you want to buy if they cant answer you questions then go elsewhere... need more info let me know . mocky
