4x4 selector switch bulb

Hey all! I just noticed that the bulb in my 4x4 selector switch has burned out. Is there any way, short of replacing the switch, to fix this? Thanks for any help!

I know that you can buy the headlight switch bulb seperately for about $6 at the dealer. Never checked on the 4x4 switch though.

Im not 100% sure about the 4X4 switch, but I've had the cruise control on/off switch burn out before and the dealer told me I'd have to replace the entire switch for around $60. That was 8-9 years and 3 Rangers ago so I'd guess its more then that now.

Im going to go out on a limb and assume its going to be the same for the 4X4 switch. But let us know what you find out.

PSKSAM2, I called the dealership and was told that they only sell the switch, the light is not "serviceable". Did you just ask for the bulb, or did you have a part number?

When I pulled the headlight switch off to check it out, I noticed that the bulb could be taken off the switch assembly easily. When I went to the dealer, the bulb was listed on the drawing. If the bulb is inside the switch, as in the case of the cruise control switch, you probably won't be able to get it from them seperately.
