I want to relocate my gas tank so I can put in a different seat in my truck. What model tank could I use and where could I put it. If anyone else has already done this please give me the details. Also can I put a late model 84-94 5.0 power steering pump as a direct replacement for mine.

My 72 came with a tank(second) between the frame rails, (driver side). If you mean removing the tank behind the seat,like mine has, that may be the only option...

brt, have you tried the seat, and found that it will not work, with the tank in place?

Look carefully at the pump mounting to the bracket, if it will bolt up give it a try. You can buy reman pumps at the parts house.
