Anyone heard of a train wreck involving a load of 2007 Ford Trucks? I have a friend that runs a late model junk yard in Ohio and they are getting a whole bunch of them in this week.
Insurance companies require the truck to be crushed to a certain level. We had chevy cameros that had to be crushed enouph to crack the alum intake manifold and the top. All new everything else. Have the engine sitting in the garage.
The trucks may have no damage but the rail insure will require scrapping and not allow a whole truck to be sold. I bet the interiors would be nice. Where in Ohio will they be going? Ill be on my way up this week.
KFord, I'll look into when and where. My pal runs a yard that has 20 branch's and as of now all I know is they are getting them this week, there are 70 of them and it is the result of a de-railment.

Ha, too damn old. Right after 9/11 I called the local office and the first thing they asked me for was my service # after I got as far as the 1953xxx, they said "are you kidding pops"? I e-mailed my salvage yard pal this morning and will let y'all know what he tells me.
Finally got a reply, here is a c and p of it. We don't know much more, do we?
Mark: I won't know till we get them. Keep in mind we cannot sell the vehicles complete, only in parts. I look to have an idea in the next couple of weeks as to what exactly we will have.
