If you mean in the electronics, I personally don't know of any difference but there may be someone that was a Dealer mechanic during those years would be better suited to tell you, but if you mean the basic engine itself no difference.
The heads changed in 93. The ports and valves are bigger and they flow better in the newer stuff, also the combustion chamber is slightly smaller in the newer stuff. As for the ECM the only differences I know of is in the Calif. and Mass. They went OBD2 sequential MASS air for 96-97 only, all other states remained OBD1 speed density.
