Question E350 rear brake drums

I have a 96 E350 DRW. Do the rear brake drums come off without a puller? Is there anything tricky about the rear brakes, other than getting the drums off. I tried to just pull them, but it didn't look like they were coming off. Thank you for any help.

You gotta back off the adjuster's star wheel. Rarely will they just pull off without backing it off.

On some E-350's, the axle shafts come off with the drum.

You may have to use a bfh and bang them around a little to get the rust broken loose. You will need to back of the adjusters as previously stated, and they're likey rusted to the axle shaft.

And maybe some spraying of WD-40 around those axle shaft connections.

Yes they come off without a puller.
After you remove the tires make sure the side you are working on is higher than the other side so oil does not run out.
Put a pan under it for the oil that runs out.
Put down papers to set the drum on for the oil.
Remove bolts (1)
Pull out Axle. (10)
Remove Axle nut. (9)
Take out bearing. (8)
Remove Hub. (7)
If you want a complete outline of this email me your email address and I will email you the information.

85 and newer E250 & E350 with 10.25 Dana rearend drums come off without removing axle or hubs.
I use a dead blow hammer to loosen drum after backing off shoe adjustment. Drum should pull off without any puller.

Back off the adjuster as stated above. It may help to turn the drum/axle as you pull on the drum. As also stated above, drums rust stuck to the axle. You may need to pry out on the drum and knock the axle back in at the same time. PB blaster, etc can't hurt.

Your axles and hubs should be separate parts but could have been swapped with older integrated units. Also stated above.

Stuck drums are one of the wrestling-match operations on vehicles.
