On my 95 PSD there is what appears to be a plastic inline fuel filter on the back side center of the fuel filter housing, I think its the fuel feed line, anyway I called the dealer about that inline filter and he said that the PSD only has the large filter and nothing else so my question is, what is that filter looking thing?

The reason I am checking in to this is that there is a blob of crud just below that inlet insinde the fuel filter/heater housing.......

what you are looking at is the ipr dont mess with it it cost 500.00 dollars im replacing mine now
