67 sb onto a 77 frame?
This body swap is do-able, is the '67 a 2wd or a 4x4? Is the 67 an auto, 3 speed, or 4 speed on the floor? and is the 77 an auto, or 4 speed on the floor? I believe the 67 whether is a 2wd auto or a 4 speed or 4x4 auto the hump in the middle of the floor does unbolt. The 77 will unbolt since it is a 4x4, so save those parts. I don't know if 67 cab where it bolts to the rubber mounts in there rear are on a cross member or on the outside of the frame. The 77 will be on the cross member. There might be blanks where the hole should be on the 67 cab, if not you'll have to put the cab on and the whole front end and move it around a little until it all lines up good and then drill your hole for the rear mounts from under the frame up through the bushings and into the cab. I think the bed will bolt up, but someone else might be able to help you with that one better, just measure the distance of the bolt/hole from center to center and see if they are the same. Look on the sticker on the cab to see if the wheel bases are the same. The wiring mihgt be a little tricky, save both wiring harnesses as you may need a piece from one or the other. I hope this helps you out, ask any other questions you have cause someone here can help you out.

67 sb onto a 77 frame?
Frank, Aside from the aforementioned tasks that Jeff described, you shouldn't have too much of a problem. I'm getting ready to put a '68 body onto a '79 frame, but both are 2wd. Patience and Diligence might be your biggest tools. I get too excited about stuff, and tend to rush, then I have to consider oversights. Make sure that the receiving frame is level, to know if you have any new sags or need to replace body mounts. The only other thing that comes to mind is the location of the fuel tank. If you still have a behind-the-seat tank, you could probably keep it there and use your existing lines to the motor. You will need to determine what to do with the frame mounted tank, lines, and inlet hose on the '79.
Good Luck, and keep us posted on progress.

67 sb onto a 77 frame?
Frank- if memory serves me, the frames on half ton fords got wider in '73. If you find this, how about using some 2 inch square tubing laying across the frame, so your narrow bolt spacing body will have some place for the bolts to go. A nice new body for the truck and a body lift at the same time. What do you think? Let us know how you do. DF

67 sb onto a 77 frame?
Thanks for the help. The two areas I'm most concerned with are mounting the bed on the narrow frame without lifting the body and the clutch. I just bought the 77 and haven't really compared the two yet.
Any advice on how/what to use on the cowl of my 79 (shortbed supercab 2x4 daily driver) to actually hold paint?
