67 ford truck ignition. Points to electronic????
John: Use the Pertronix Ignitor system. This Hall Effect module is a screw on replacement for points, works with a stock coil and is not to expensive, about 80 bucks. Follow the instructions and if you can change a set of points you will be able to install this kit. Open up the gap in your plugs to .040.

The swap is really simple. First you have to obtain a distributor with an electronic pickup in it and the harness (From the module to the distributor and coil. Cut the female connector with two leads about six inches from the connector on the module). Most wrecking yards are full of these. Then remove the cap and see what color the plastic part of the pickup is. Go to a parts store and get a module with the same color grommet on it and a coil for electronic ignition. Install the distributor and plug in the harness to it. Connect the coil. Then mount the module on the fender or firewall and plug the harness into it. Connect the two-wire female connector to the module and that leaves two wires to connect. The Original red wire to the coil will connect to the white one on the connector, and the other red wire on the connector will connect to the "s" post on your starter solonoid. If you would like, I can E-mail you a diagram.
