Two bolts on each side of the carb into the manifold...unscrew those and start from there...

Be careful not to break the metal heat tube from the manifold to the choke housing. The screws that hold the body together go in from the bottom. Be sure you get the float setting for your exact carb because the specs are different.

Make sure to take lots of notes. Making sure you write down everything, espicially where screws go and the order in which you took the items off. Because what came off first will go on last when you put the thing back together. Don't loose patients with yourself either.
I did this job about a year ago. It was kinda overwhelming until I just did one step at a time and it all went back together well. The truck even ran when I was finished!

If you have a digital camera, snap away as you go - or even a cam corder. May save your cookies. Also, clean is the secret to the passageways in the carb. Check for play in the butterfly shafts. I have a couple of extra 300 six carbs if you get hopelessly lost - in the $20 range.... but they are the California feedback models.
