1977 Ford Econoline Chateau turn signl problmes

Hi,

I have a 1977 Ford Van with under 30,000 original miles on it. It's a straight 6 with a three speed on the column. I'm tryng to find the blinker module for the turn signals since they stopped working. I can't seem to find it. I saw the module for 4way flashers, but not the turn signal. Any ideas? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

It up on the left side of the dash above the vent attached to the sided panel.

same as on this illustration. see top left for Turn signal text.

Please respond asap so I can remove it after you see it.

BTW, FTE has a large van forum for the E-series

why would the left signal have the indent for the turn signal while the other has to be held in position to blink?

Arrgggh! I still can't find it. The diagram you show me seems a little different then what I see. Would it be easier to see if the dash board was off?

It looks like you can't see it from below. If your seatbelt buzzer still works, the signal flasher looks to be mounted directly above it, probably in a clip holding it to the body.
AL.
P.S. Welcome to FTE !!!!!!!!!

Thanks Dealford!

The seatbelt buzzer is the part that looks different on my van. The buzzer on my '77 is mounted on the right hand side of the fuse box. How am i missing it?! It has to be there somewhwere...right?

You could just turn the key in to the ACC position and turn the blinker on. Then get down there and just feel around and listen for the clicking. Never fails.
