hiboy springs

putting hiboy springs on the front of my 79 do i need the drop pitman arm

I know the leaf springs off of my '75 F250 that I used for parts to build my truck were 2.25 or 2.5" wide on the back and 3" up front. The rear springs on a '79 are 3" wide aren't they? Thats the only issue I see you running into.

yeah the rear springs are 2.5 on the hiboy and 3 on the 79 , but the springs on the front are the same width. the old hiboy springs have more arch and im hoping they will lift this 79 about two inches and i dont know if thats enought to have to get a new pitman arm.

Shouldn't need a new pitman arm.

i just dont want it to bind the first time i try to turn it out of the shop
but i guess theres only one way to find out
