How much does a regular long bed weigh?

Anyone have an aluminum flat bed weight?

I am thinking of trying to get the weight off the back axle so I can haul a heavy gooseneck and not be over the rear axle weight rating of 7450lbs.... Goosenecks putting 40% of the weight on the truck. Ditch the regular bed to save weight.

Anyone know the empty weight of a 86 F-350 dually Crew cab with diesel/auto/air?

 

My 86 F350 dually, crew cab, longbed, 460, 4spd, with air weighed 6200 with 200lb driver and 1 tank of fuel when I weighed it last week. I know it's not a perfect match but it should be close.

 

My 78" F-350 dually, cab & chassis with a 351-400, and 4-spd. just weighed in at 4300#. Certified weight.
After fabricating a H.D. bed with 1/8" channel iron and diamond plate steel floor, it weighed in just over 5350#, including a H.D. ball hitch & 20 gal. tank & no A/C.

4 reasonably strong friends can lift it off the truck once you remove the mounting hardware, and tailgate.

 

i took the bed i bought off the flatbed trailer myself, didn't hurt me or the bed, its an 8ft, and i flipped it end over end onto a set of dollies i made.

so i did have the rolling part on my side haha

but i think it would weigh 700-1000lbs. idk for sure thats just my guess.
