All 2.3 blocks the same???

I have a '93 ranger with 2.3 5sp. The engine runs great doesn't burn oil but is very very tired. I have to down shift on every hill and sometimes downshift all the way to 3. But anyways i also have a 2.3 out of a early 90's tempo are these 2.3 blocks the same?Sso i can rebuild that block but put all the ranger parts off mine on there.

Tempo or front wheel drive 2.3 are completely different engines than your Lima 2.3 engine.
