HAHAHa.... Yep, 14.332 ...With a damn vacuum leak... I think whatever i build next is going to be getting a 400 like mine, just built a little MORE. Ive been waiting sooo long to get out of the 16's in my truck... I cant believe i skipped right over the 15's!! With the numbers i crunched i thought i was only going to be able to pull off a 14.6 or 14.7 at best, but i was wrong...

It didnt feel at all right to be going that fast in my truck..But it felt good...

Im going to up-load a copy of my timeslip here within the next week...It was a really really good run, with minimal tirespin and no wheelhop at all.. In a long wheelbase 4x4 truck, i thought axlewrap and wheelhop would kill me in the 14's, but it didnt even rear its ugly head...

No more getting it handed to me by these hopped up diesels..

60 ft --- 1.985
330 ft -- 5.839
1/8th -- 9.074
1/8 MPH -- 75.74
1000 ft -- 11.892
1/4 mile 14.332
1/4 mile MPH 92.13

My 1/8th mile MPH is only 8 MPH slower than my old 1/4 mile MPH, i just noticed that.

Ill be racing next on August 25th, but ill be doing more testing on August 23rd, because i think i can maybe squeeze it down to a 14.2 or 14.1 with some timing and plug gap adjustment.

DUDE, that's insane. Are you sure you aren't kidding me?!? I just don't see how you can skip 2secs in the quarter just like that. Did you get nitrous or something? That makes me SICK!!!!

I did some big improvments, with a small amount of "cheating" .. Most of it was hard work though..Now im desparatly trying to sell the thunderbird i have, and my 68 chevy truck i bought so i can fund a 2 wheel drive truck project, and see some 12's or 11's in a street driven truck..

My friends suddenly dont think im wasting my time wanting to build a 400 into a powerplant for my actual drag race project...

Some of the time can be contributed to replacing my transmission, i tore my old one apart, and man was is toast, the clutches were just little metal bands..no clutch material left on half of them..and one of the pressure type plates in the trans was snapped into 9 pieces..

Ive been hearing about this "Mopar vs Ford" shootout august 19th and 20th in Pueblo at the Dragstrip there, im considering coming down for that...

Ever raced at PMI?? Im wondering how nice of a track it is???

So, basically the transmission was what did it huh?

I've never dragged at PMI, but I've watched a few on many occasions. It's just a small track out in the middle of the desert, hehe. Nice enough to get the job done. Cheaper priced than Bandimere.
