Got a new Expedition

Well I finally did it. Traded the 02 Expedition for the 08 XLT with leather, DVD, Trailer Tow package and and 18" wheels. WOW...what a truck! My wife is in love with it.

The 02 had 146,000 miles and was starting to need a tranny. But it has been the vehicle I have kept the longest with the least amout of trouble. Would have liked it to be 4wd or even a limited but the sticker of 37k was high enough...can do the 42k sticker.

Anyhow..great SUV! Oh and the kids love the DVD system and the Sat Radio.

I will put up a pic in the next day or two.

It is very quiet. I am impressed on how quiet it is compared to the 02 I had. Even at 80mph. Hardly any road noise or wind noise.

was looking at the pictures, noticed it doesnt have automatic climate, or mono'd grille, some reason thought you mentioned it was a limited. How did you get the side moldings the same color as the truck? The 07 xlt's only had the grey side moldings, which is why i opted for the eddie bauer.

nice looking truck.

I need to get some pics up of mine since I added a stainless grille guard. Today i purchased the leveling kit a few others on here have. I will just have to find time to either put it on or get someone to put it on for me.

It's an 2008 XLT. I would have loved to had been able to buy an EB but to steep for my wallet. It was like 42K for a nice one...and 51K if you like all the toys like a limited or King Ranch.

I must have got a pretty good deal on mine then, granted i had to go the threee dealerships before they would agree to come down to what I was willing to pay. I didnt want the dvd (no kids yet), just got all the standard eddie bauer features plus, luggage cross members, power folding seats, power lift gate, trailer tow package, sirius satellite (which i have found i will not be renewing).
