Has anyone ordered upfitter switches from deviouscustoms on ebay?
I ordered mine from Wabash Ford in Indianapolis for $77.84 + 9.50 S/H for $87.34 Total. Ford Factory Original Kit.
I can't find anything for sale by that guy on eBay. I would be very leary about buying from him due to his low amount of feedback. I buy off eBay alot. I'm very careful about the sellers and how I pay.
I bought mine from the above as well (powerstrokeshop.com), they come with EVERYTHING you need. I highly recommend them and their customer service is great!!
Okay, this will sound like a stupid question but what are the upfitter switches for that I'm seeing in the 250 and 350 Ford trucks? Maybe not what are they, I can see what they are but I don't understand what their purpose is and haven't found anyone that knows the answer either. Thanks for y'alls help.
Basically allows you to add other 12v accessories and still have a factory look. Some are using one of the switches to raise the idle up to keep from wet stacking ( i believe thats what it's called).I have a need for a few 12v switches and this just makes it look clean.
IC, so you have to route the wiring to where ever you need the power source I take it and it isn't something that Ford has pre-wired in various locations?

They are four cicuits for any option you want to add. 2 are 30 amps and 2 are 10 amps. One of my 30amps is for my KC Daylighters up front, my other 30 amp goes to a three way in my cap to power fans when I'm camping and it's hot or heaters when it's cold, one 10 amp activates my NOS system and the other 10 amp will activate my propane system when I add it.
You use the cicuits any way you want. They are a nice clean install. You don't have to drill holes in your dash to fit aftermarket switches.
Actually ford did route 4 wires through the firewall on the drivers side. They are exposed in the engine compartment and in a wiring harness near the fuse block inside the truck. There's a good write up in the tech section with pictures if your interested in seeing the locations.
