Red face Intake manifold gaskets

Hey! I got some intake manifold gaskets for my 351m and they overhang over the ports. Can i trim off the gasket that overhangs or will this be a problem. Thanks!

Which port, the ports for the water or the ports for the fuel?

It hangs over the front fuel ports on both sides just under a quarter of an inch, everything else seems to fit fine.

They should not - 2V gaskets are not any big deal. I would source another pair.

PS - there are no water ports in the intake on a 351C, 351M or 400.

try flipping them over, around and side/side, they are not symmetrical.
