Looking for something to do

Will be in the KC area on the 24th with nothing to do,,, so anybody have suggestions for an event on that day that would interest a gearhead??? Mud races or other 4x4 type events would be the preferred choice but anything automotive related would be ok. Even aircraft, tractors or other mechanical topics(museum??)would be considered.

Thanxs Ron

Come on,,, little help here please!! Already going to have to spend Sunday doing the family get together thing, dont want to have to do it Saturday too!! If Dad and I dont find something to do the woemen will come up with something like -- standing around the piano singing songs or some kind of crap like that!! Even a general variety swap meet/flea market would be considered as long as it isnt artsy craftsy stuff. Otherw

Cabella's is a good idea. Maybe go check out the Kansas Speedway? I'm not very good at finding stuff to do, sorry.

Ryan,
What do you mean by such a comment? Since you were the ring leader of last weeks K.C. meet and greet, I think you're now the designated FTE Missouri Chapter West's "social director and events coordinater".

Definetly Cabela's!! On the second floor there's a really cool little shooting gallery thing. Laser light style. Watch what you shoot as some of them squirt when you hit them. Of course, if it were me, I'd line up my dad just behind me, hit one of the squirters and duck so it gets him!! But that's me, I'm evil like that. lol

63rd St drive-in in raytown should have a swap-n-shop, kcir dragstip in independence should be open, the steamboat Arabia in the city market is interesting and there are some good local resturants in that part of town, and maybe a motorcycle swap meet at the twin drive-in, and being saturday it will be cruise nite some where.

This is Ryan's Mom. He died. He won't be able to be your all's social director.

Seriously though... I'm sure everyone was bored out of thier mind, no thanks to me.

wyldstallyn73 those K.C. guys are kinda slow. They usually have to wait for one of the St. Louis guys to do something before the jump in.

yeah, yeah...our illustrious leader that can't find the western half of the state...lol!

How bored are ya wyldstallyn? Boy oh boy, do I have a project for you... (Don't help me here Ryan...)

As for the KC meet, I had a ball. James' F1 was gorgeous, and Cody's truck had enough toys on it that it could be a rolling toys r us. He can laugh at my 2x4, but I don't have my dogs leash under the hood...lol!

July is way busy for me, but after the statewide meet in August, maybe i can put one together in Raytown. At my house. Bring your toolbox. I'll buy the beer!
