Back to NY

Coming back to NY thurs, to the land of taxes and high speed internet connection. IF you see a black and silver F250 trailering a silver 83 LTD Crown Vic, thats me. I'll come into NY on 15, then 414 to the Glen, and on to Trumansburg. George

Welcome back! I'm in your area a couple times a year, maybe I'll look you up next time I'm around.

Back after 11 1/2 hrs darn accidents, detours and road construction and $185 in gas. I used to go down and back with the truck for about $200 and towing. The poor truck had a workout. Now where to put everything...I bought that Crown Vic 3 years ago for my son, he's got a Grand Marquis now, so I took the 83 back to VA (it came from there) to see if I could sell it-no luck so back it came. Thing is I bought another 83 CV for him to drive in the NY salt and that is still in VA. And I still have to find a place to unload the truck.....garage is full of a 66 F100 and Elite parts.

I feel your pain George. This is what I have to find room for:

'99 F250 Superduty - never leaves my side
'98 Bonneville - the wifes car, to be replaced soon
'97 Tacoma - son 1's truck (please don't even say it)
'96 Merc Mystique - son 2's car, doesn't owe us ANYTHING
'95 Chevy Van - son 2's band wagon, bright yellow
'70 GMC - son 3's project, coming along nicely
'87 Z28 - fun car, quick, needs some tlc
'87 F350 - Plow/Salt rig, 'Big Blue'
'88 Ramcharger - Plow truck (please don't even say it here either)
'04 Car trailer, indespensibe
'88 Monte Carlo - the race car, a REALLY fun car
'88 Monte Carlo - parts for above, pretty ugly

I live on a 1/3 acre lot. Had to rent a place for projects, plow trucks, spares, fun cars, etc.

George - Glad you made it back safe. Don't you just love what your kids make you do?!? Oh well, you will find a good home for the Vic but it might not be yours.

Barr - I guess I will have to make a trip to see your collection of vehicles. You have a car show all to yourself. I don't think it that big of a deal of having other brand vehicles. I realize this is a Ford board, but I think you can learn and appreciate what people do on other vehicles. As a matter of fact I was thinking about doing a project thread just to see what kind of projects have going.

Ronin - You're certainly welcome to stop by, but don't expect a car show. It's more of a junk yard I'm affraid. To be honest with you, none of my vehicles are that great. Decent, yeah... show cars... not even close. Seriously though, my phone number is in my gallery, give me a call sometime and stop by. It'll try to make your trip worthwhile. (Offer open to others too)

And as long as I'm letting it all out (so to speak), I'm mainly a GM fan - except for trucks. I like Ford trucks. I never acquired a taste for anything Dodge, the Ramcharger was intended as a backup plow machine, and picked it up cheap. I don't like 'imports.'

That is alright Barr. A collection of vehicles is always interesting. How does the saying go....one man's junk is another man's treasure. I just find it interesting what people do to their vehicles no matter what it is. That is why I started the project thread. Post in that on what you are doing with yours.

I think we should do a G2G at your place if you are up to it so a bunch of us can look over what you have going on. Personally I don't think it matters if you are into GM, Dodge, or imports as it is such a world market now that they all have something to offer to someone. The way I look at it, I would rather have a choice then in some countries where you only have one vehicle and that is it. Can you imagine the only vehicle available to you being a Yugo!!
