I don't know if this is the same pipe but I installed a cheap DP for a buddy. Had to push the cab back further than other 4 I've done. The turbo flange wore out after a year and had to replace it with a more $$ one.

I know it's cliché, but it has held true in my experience: "you get what you pay for."

Ive had that down pipe on my truck for almost 3 years now with no problems. I didnt have any issues installing it other than the normal ones, bending the firewall some so it clears without rubbing.

I agree! Some fit, some won't from the same maker. Quality control costs money.

pud,

Our DPPI pipe has a slightly different cobra head bend and is easier to install, plus we have bolt in cat test pipe you can add if you want as well. Call us if you have any quetions etc.

The mechanic who did mine said the ease of installation also depends upon the truck. Some have the engine sitting closer or farther from the firewall, some have the cab closer to the engine and the welded seam on some is deeper. These are just fractions of an inch, but they add up. I can see with anything that is mass produced like a truck, there has to be some variables.

Personally I would avoid RPM outlet. Alot of people have had bad experiences with them. I'm not really out to bash them...just to inform.
