'98 f-150 cruise control not working

I just bought a '98 F-150 4x4 and the cuise doesn't work. I checked all the fuses and they are all good. Nothing is happening when you try to activate the cruise. What else can I check?

BTW, It is a 5-spd.

Several things come to mind:

What is the status of the cruise recall?

Do your brake lights work?

Have you checked F13?

Do your horns work correctly and does your AIRBAG light test properly then stay off?

I didn't know about the recall until after I posted. My switch is disconnected at the master cyl. I made arrangements with a local dealer to install the parts Friday. Hopefully that is all it needs.
