Smile New Hurricane/Boss 6.2L????

Hello, this is actually my first official post although, I have enjoyed the information on this site for some time. I currently own a 2004 fx4 supercab and I happy to report that after 21,000 miles I have nothing but positive things to say about it. I am however, a life long Ford guy so I am probably willing to deal with a few things. My question today however, is how many of you feel this new truck engine will be able compete with the Hemi and Vortec. The horsepower wars continue to rage and I feel Ford really needs to nail this new engine and get very close if not beat the numbers being put up by the other two. Thoughts.....

6.2

I don't know, I have a lot of respect for the 5.4. It seems to get fair fuel economy while providing more than enough power for most of it's users. I know the 5.7L Hemi drinks gas like there's no tommorrow, and who really cares what chevy has, seriously. If the 6.2 comes out and sucks gas like the Triton V10, I can't see many casual truck buyers taking the option. I think most would be happy with their tried and true 5.4L. Just my opinion!
