whats going on for the Pigeon Forge get togethers ???
Hi, guys. I just got logged into this. I was a trifle confused how to make it work. You're right, it is mighty quiet.
Okay, we already know we can't put up a pavilion, that the cookout is on Friday, and breakfast is on Saturday. What else do you all want to cover.
I KNOW something has been forgotten.

Can we have all the info in one place? Where is the breakfast and when, where is the picnic and when, who is bringing what, who is doing what... I know all this was posted, but sometime before the event it would be nice to have it all in one place.

Only thing I can think of is for everyone who is going to attend the cookout to bring an extra chair, cooler, Card table etc. if it will fit in their vehicle without causing a burden and then let someone know they have them when they get there.
I suggest we make someone the chairman of the cookout as a liason for all those who want to do something and then that person can keep track of the volunteers and what they have offered etc. then publish this person's name and arival date and hotel on the lists for all who may attend to contact. This person will have to be a brave soul of course since his phone may be quite busy at the hotel :-)
You can contact me if you like and I will try to keep it all straight but the first part of the week I plan to be busy with my wife, sightseeing and shopping and won't be available for duties till Friday. I promised her I would only apply myself to the show on Friday and Saturday, the rest of the week is hers :-)
I think a women's league would be cool since many of the ladies are not all that enthused about the mechanical details and bull sessions over the trucks. They could hop in someone's van and go shopping (window shopping of course) or out to lunch or something to kill some time and let the boys play with the trucks for a few hours, unmolested, just a thought :-)
One other thought.....ID badges? Someone said he'd bring some? I can bring some too but only for those in the AFTE memeber list. Maybe a simple blank name card would be best and use a laundry marker (a sharp one :-)) to print the names on them. If I get time I will try to make some up as a backup to the main plan :-)
