My buddy that is helping on our Bio-Diesel project just spoke with a friend of his that runs a local itialian resturant, the guy at the rest said they use AV oil and it is not good for bio-d conversion. Anybody know what AV oil is?

Never heard of "AV" oil, But any veggie oil can be converted to biodiesel. Have him look on the side of the "cubes" that they get there oil in. The cubes have a list of whats in them, then post back here and we'll find an answer for you.
Fabman; looked at the cubes, looks to be a blend of animal fat & vegi oil I will be staying away from that stuff I did not even ask for a sample to do a titration test with.....Thks Bill
I believe animal fats can be converted to biodiesel just as well as any other fat. Oil is oil and will react in the same manner. if it's already liquid, it should be usable for biodiesel.
