Question What is AV fryer oil?

My buddy that is helping on our Bio-Diesel project just spoke with a friend of his that runs a local itialian resturant, the guy at the rest said they use AV oil and it is not good for bio-d conversion. Anybody know what AV oil is?

Never heard of "AV" oil, But any veggie oil can be converted to biodiesel. Have him look on the side of the "cubes" that they get there oil in. The cubes have a list of whats in them, then post back here and we'll find an answer for you.

I believe animal fats can be converted to biodiesel just as well as any other fat. Oil is oil and will react in the same manner. if it's already liquid, it should be usable for biodiesel.

Think I will go ahead and get a sample and do a test to see how it reacts....All it can do is not work.
