I have been using a product called Satin Gloss for years. I started using it when I worked in a detail shop 13 yrs ago. I found a vendor and ordered some for myself. It is liquid and really easy to use. I also use Meguires NXTliquid. It really works well also. I have used both products with a buffer and without. I get good results both ways. I have pics in my gallery if you want to see what kind of finish it leaves. The paint is super slick and feels really soft to the touch. I also use the Satin Gloss easy shine detailing spray. All of the Satin Gloss products are excellent.

I use Zaino on my new truck. The shine and the feel of the paint is unbelevable. I have been using zaino for about the past three years on my Corvette. I have tried just about every product out there and you will never get a better shine or feel then zaino.

I have used lots of different kinds...pretty much all the turtle waxes, mothers, meguiares, z-mol, simoniz(crap), black magic. The black magic was by far the easiest to remove and meguiares lasted the longest and was the shiniest.

I used the professional liquids for years purchased from an Auto Paint store. I switched to Mothers because Mothers adheres better and the liquids evaporate sooner. Thus with Mothers I wax less often.

I have used cleaners/clay bars in the past and may still use in future, It seems time is such an issue for me so I have been washing then waxing with our vehicles this year. I strongly recommend porter cable 7424 orbital polisher for application of wax, it makes job so much easier. Remove wax by hand and you will notice how uniform wax application is with use of machine and removal is a breeze.

When I had my truck painted last fall, I did a fair amount of research here and elsewhere, and determined that Collinite "Marque de Elegance" would be the best initial coating of wax. I have to say that, even though it is a bit expensive and hard to find, it was the right choice. It goes on easy and comes off just as easy. Use a sponge applicator and a microfiber cloth to remove. By the way, this carnubba wax seems to last forever, so it's worth the price. That's my .02
