I will be bringing a 77 F250 low boy 4x4 home this weekend and plan on using a tow bar.

What I need to know is if the 77 has the same style of front spring hanger as my 79 F250 does?

The 79 has 4 splined bolts holding the hanger to the frame.

Anyone with a 77 that could check or knows off hand it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Yes, the late 77 (low boy) through 79 F250 all used the same hanger up front.

I plan on taking off the bumper and the 4 front bolts and bolting on the tow bar to the hanger.

I will be posting more questions on the project latter on when I try to get it running again.

further down the road I plan to swap the D60 front and plow from my 79 onto this truck and redo some of the bodywork, then lift ect.............
