air cond questions

hi i have just bought a 2003 f-150 extended cab 4x4 with 70,000 k on it.i put a stainless grillfront on it last week. my question would be would this in any way impair the proper operating of the a/c. it was 90 today and the air though cool did not seem as cold as i thought it would be.it kept the cab comfertabe but not cold.am i expecting too much? would a truck this new maybe need a recharge?i have the xl package witch gives you just dails for the heat cool system.by the by i love the truck and in no way regret buying it as my last one was a 88 f-250 tank.

Welcome aboard!
Does the grill you installed restrict the air across the condenser anymore than the OEM grill?
My 97 F-150 ac will run you out of the cab! I have to run it on low after a while.

i would think the grille does restrict a little bit. the ac worked good yesterday and it was a scorcher.im thinking theres a trade off here, between the better protection of the stainless grill, and the much better cooling of the bar grille.
