1975 grumman step van vacuum problems

I have searched endlessly looking for vacuum diagrams for my stepvan with a 4.9 I six. What i have is a vacuum line of what looks to be a check valve? The line is not connected to anything at the moment.

I have a photo of the line and fitting, maybe one of you kind folkes can tell me what it is and where it goes..

thanks

I think thats a Grumman body on your Ford chassis, I think it should have a
Hyrovac Brake booster on it and that may be where that rubber line went.
they had a 5/8 rubber line as a supply hose with a check valve between
the booster and the engine. They also had a vent hose with a filter
on the opposite side of the housing. If the engine would fail to idle it was caused
by the diaprahm in the booster failing they sometimes would draw brake
fluid out of the master cylinder as well. Unit was mounted on the frame
near the transmission with to brake lines going to it. Perhaps someone
had problems and removed it and left the lines. even with drum brakes
I don't think this P 400 or 500 would stop to well without it. My thoughts.
