Over Drive Flashing

What does it mean when the over drive light is flashing yellow? It does not appear to be a code. It's just a steady flash. It will flash for a minute or so then go out for a while before it starts flashing again. I have a scanner for the check engine light but I don't think it reads the over drive system.

I appreciate any help that comes along.

FWIW, this is in your owner's manual.

A flashing OD light indicates the PCM has detected a transmission-related fault. Read the codes the same as if you had a CEL/SES light. Any OBDII scanner should do the job. Auto parts stores, etc.

Once you have the code(s), come back here and SEARCH using it (them) as your SEARCH keywords to see if here has been previous discussion. If you get stuck after that, just ask.

Do no replace any parts based strictly on codes. Do an analysis first to have a better chance of getting it right.
