How does my tranny flow? Anybody know?
2001 F250 with the V10. I am adding a transmission filter kit with a temperature guage hooked up to it. I found a good mounting spot, left side wheel well up front. It says you're suppose to intercept the line that supplies to the radiator/transmission cooler. I'm not a rocket scientist but I would guess that the line that comes from the front of the tranny to the bottom right side of the radiator is the supply. Then from the radiator bottom left side the flow comes out of the radiator to the auxilary cooler up front. Then from the aux cooler it goes back to the rear of the transmission. In other words the flow goes through the radiator then the auxilary cooler and not the other way around. I also assume your intercepting the line coming out of the tranny so your catching the fluid at its hottest point. Let me know if this is correct flow and anyone else that has done this what temperature are you getting when your all warmed up.
