Did anybody from Kentucky Go? I went and hung out with some buds from another truck site that drove down from MD. They got awards in the 73-79 class, the 4x4 class and the "lightning" class. Alas my truck didnt get an Effie but...that will be corrected for next year.
Was a Awesome show, lots of beautiful trucks and GREAT weather
Just found your post, (I know, I know, I'm slow) They were a little thin on vendors this year but a great turnout of trucks. The weather was great except for that storm that blew in Saturday afternoon, when that came thru alot of people left. Where were you at?
on the north side of the lake, the big parking lot close to the Zoo. I agree vendors were really slim this year! If you walked around any you probably rember the Lifted 02 F150 w/ the Lambo Door's, that was a buddy from another site, there were four of us parked together, the 02, there was a Red 79 150 and also a 01 Red Lightning..
The Rain in the afternoon definatly hindered the show and made it a PITA to keep the trucks clean..I think I wore out my absorber dryin off the truck. Lookin forward to next years show
Yeah that 02 F-150 was real slick, I got a picture for my girlfriend's boy and he flipped. I'm still gathering parts for mine so I don't have a truck to show, but there are some great ideas running around there. I am thinking of trying to suicide the doors on my '74, have you seen anyone do this to this body? I've seen early 80s done but not the 73-79. I haven't missed the show in fourteen years, so I'm lookin' for next year too.
make sure you stop by and say hello next year! Im not to wild on suicide doors on any model, but no I havent seen em on our years before.. gotta be a first time for anything. I'd like to lambo my doors.. shouldnt be too hard.
