Another new Ozzie here

Hi guys, thanks for the invite to the International side, I didnt know there were so many Ozzie's here, I am in Hobart in Tassy.
I am in the process of doing my '57 F100 at the moment, if all goes well it could be done by Xmas (fingers crossed), check my gallery for pics of the ol girl and some of the rust repairs I have had to do. My stepson Luke is a first year apprentice panel beater/painter and is helping me heaps.
Good to see all you guys here and hope to catch some pics of your rides too.
Cheers

PS the truck in my sig is how mine will look only different wheels n black walls.

hi wooki351, I am in Wollongong, though I have a 53 so info wouldn't be too much. Though Campbelltown F100 might help you for if you get stuck.

Hi !
Baz here from Cairns QLD. I'm building up a 272 Y engine and looking for an ignition distributor complete Condition either overhauled or new. Have you any good connections for spares of this type?

Baz. Only an aussie would use that name.

I get parts from rockauto.com One of the best online catalogues and good pricing too. Search part no. 302808, should get you a re-manufactured dizzy for a 292. Only us$83.79 too. Not much you can't find there, and they seem to have more than what you can find.

We used to have an old F600 truck with a 292 in it. Can't say much good about it. Had a hell of a time trying to give it a tune up once. Turned out that the timing chain had stretched/worn so much that it had jumped teeth.

So what's your 272 in?? I'm guessing/hoping some nice restoration project.
