single exhaust equalizes the pressure as well, and in a low performance application theres not much difference at all, except single saves $$ and weight
your confused, you lengthened the pipes to get more velocity
It's entirely possible that you're right. I 'm confused. All I know is that the longer pipes and the H shaved a second and a half off our lap times and 20 degrees off the water temp. We also didn't have all the popping and crackling going into the corners like the rest of the cars did.
the reason i thought about using the flows is because they are just laying around and are not knockoffs. and if i dont like them i can sell them and pay for another exhaust i guess. theres so many different exhaust combos i want on my truck.
A buddy and I used an H pipe on a 351c dirt burner and it worked great. I assume that an X pipe would work just as good and might be easier to find off the shelf rather than going to a muffler shop and having one custom made. But the scavenging was worth about 10 to 15 hp in our cleve. As to pipe size I'd go as big as you can get away with. Loud pipes saves lives.
Jegs sells a universal h-pipe kit you could probably install yourself
