Anybody have any luck disabling the perimeter light feature (headlights come on at night when unlock pressed) of the remote entry system? I've followed the directions in the manual as far as I can tell but can't seem to get that chirp to signal that the system is disabled...Are the instructions in the manual right? (ignition on, unlock 3 times, ignition off, unlock 3 times, ignition on, within 5 sec unlock 2 times...then lock 2 times to disable/enable feature.)

 

I followed the instructions in the owners manual and it worked. I don't remember what they were specifically but the instructions printed in my manual were right on my 2005 F-150.

Use the unlock button on the door, not the remote !!
Drove me nuts for 1/2 hour until I figured it out.
