who makes a turbo back 4" WITHOUT muffler ?

I have a stock exhaust .. but cut the muffler out a while back and replaced with straight pipe.

Now i'm about to add an Edge Juice with Attitude, and want to upgrade my exhaust... but I don't want a muffler in in .. and don't want to spend $600.00 on it either ! who makes a good basic 4" exhaust to go from the turbo back and does NOT have a muffler ???

I don't want to hijack the thread and I'm sure that I'm asking a juvenile question, but I'm assuming that it is totally legal to run straight pipes without a muffler?

You would have to check your local laws. In some states the turbo is considered a muffling device on diesels and is all that is required. In other states no modifications to the stock exhaust system are legal. Most states fall somewhere in between.

Straight piped diesels don't have that obnoxious sound that straight gassers get, and aren't nearly as loud, so they don't normally draw the same kind of (legal) attention.

Is anyone running Mark's above-stated 4" system? The price is right..just wondering how easy the install is and if you are happy with the final product. Thanks.

I put my muffler back in today - with the side dump and man I tell you I have reclaimed some lost power.

I tend to wake up the neighbors kid and the lady across the street is getting ready to squirt one out. I thought I'd be a nice guy and put the muffler back in. My mid-range is back!!!

Not saying anyone is going to lose their mid-range, but I did....I definately did.

. that is funny.

Wow...I've never heard the mid-range thing before. I still have my muffler from my MBRP kit. Maybe I'll try it this weekend to see.

Side dump as in in front of the tires? If you shortened the pipe a bunch it would explain the difference.

I'm running his system without muffler, install was ok, had a minor issue with the down-pipe. Had to smack a dent in one spot where it comes close to the bell housing in order for it to fit. He did offer to send a new down-pipe, but I declined. Oh, and the clamps are not rust resistant. Other than that it sounds great. Ordered a 6" tip the other day from him, expecting any day.
