Aren't they just awesome!?!? I was just telling C. Lee Colbert how when I went to take the pix we had some workers show up to thin some trees and one of the guys went straight from his 98 F150 over to my 77, saw me takin' pix and hoped I was putting her up for sale!!! He was disappointed that I wasn't, but said he didn't blame me. Said he wouldn't sell her if she were his either.

Nice old truck Fordgirl, i agree with the tree guy i wouldnt sell it either. I like the old iron, are you going to do any mods to it?

 

soondg -- thanks!!! She's my baby (don't tell my kids though LOL). I haven't decided what kindsa mods I'll do, if any. Right now I'm thinking more about replacing gaskets and the rear window (the latch is broken and the seals are rotted). Getting a window free from a guy up the road soon, so I'll do all the gaskets and the window at once, make a day of it.

 

i don't care what any new truck owner says, there's nothin that says bad a$$ like the look of these old fords. nice truck!!

 

I'll second that!!! my boss always says mines a POS and reminds him of Sanford and Son but it'll blow the dust off both of his 92 and newer Chevys, and mines got 226,xxx miles of wear and tear and haulin on it, cant beat em!!!!!!!

 

I got rid of a 2001 Ranger Edge and bought an old 83F150 that will probably end up costing me more than buying out the lease on the Edge, but i do so like the older body styles. Tractor, Hows your membership drive going?

its goin good, we r supposed to have a meeting next weekend, so from then we will see how things go, and I still havent heard back from anybody about makin it an official chapter, I'm begining to think they dont care or dont wanna help, u have any luck?

 

i've been asking people to post up officially, but no one has so far. probably wait until after the holidays then start PMing people.
