Nice!

I wish, its not quite that good, but its a lot better than with many other tires Ive used on the beach. The truck will make it through most places on our beach even with 35 PSI in them, which Ive never been able to do with another truck or tire, the problem comes when you stop and try to go again, then it digs in.

Less air pressure naturally increases the footprint of the tire and prevents that digging, and being that these tires are much larger, we can run them all the way down to 10 - 15psi and still tow a trailer and drive on the street without any problems.

The wheels werent my #1 pick either, but Weld discontinued the ones I really liked, however upon seeing these in person, Im actually quite happy I wasnt able to get the other ones.

As for the low profile, I totally understand and if it was my personal truck I would certainly go with the larger series tire, infact these tires are actually shorter in height than the stock 275/70R18's that came on the truck, but only by 1/2" or so. Unfortunately we cant have people jumping out of a truck as it increases the risk of injury, not to mention with the utility body, we do need to get into the back as well as see whats in all the cabinets so having 4 - 6" of lift wasnt an option either.

futhermore I think it would be in bad taste for a cop to pull over another emergency service vehicle simply for an "equipment violation" that does serve a purpose.
I'll keep my mouth shut...

Nice truck, are you going to bring it to the NJ State fireman's convention in Wildwood this year? If so, I will see it there.

Great lookin truck!

But with the width of those tires and the weight of that truck, be ready to replace ball joints and hub assemblies every 15 - 20K.

we're going to try. September is actually our busiest month for water rescue calls, so it will be up to the chief to determine if it goes or not, but Im gonna try.

Thats no problem, with the way we put mileage on trucks, we wont see that kinda mileage till the year 2016 at the earliest. Our 2001 F250 just hit 10K miles this year and that truck gets used far more than this one will.
