SD, I noticed the same and then I figured the smaller one might have been for a smaller pickup lite a Ranger / S-10 / Tacoma / Frontier etc... Smaller because the tailgate is lighter..

But I was thinking maybe you could use the smaller one as a Toilet seat damper haha... , now that is something I could use.. I always let that slam down...

I want the EZ down, but they don't make them for a '94 F-150.

the torsion bar setup needs holes drilled. no problem drilling holes. The problem is the exposed bare metal you just created that will RUST!

Does the stock tailgate strap get pinched between the ezdown and the tailgate or side of the truck when closing?
Have you noticed and additional wear on the strap from the ezdown?

No, the EZ Down comes with a little cushion that you heat shrink to the tailgate strap. Its suppose to prevent pinching by not allowing the strap to fall between the gate and the EZ Down. As far as wear, havn't had it long enough to notice any wear. Only complaint is that the clip used to secure the EZ Down to the upper bolt is really flimsy and has already started to destort and bend.

Laugh but we remodeled our bathroom. We got a TOTO Toilet. I has a seat dampener so it doesn't slam down.

EZ down

My strap got screwed up right after I installed the EZ down, but it has not gotten worse since then. I think the shrink tube was not tight enough. I have had mine for almost a year now.

Did you install zipties both over and under the shrinkwrap pad?
