F250 Diesel uneven tire wear...
Okay here is my problem. I have a 99F250 2wd long bed crew cab. I have dunlop radial rover tires. I am having a tire wear problem. Only the center to about 4 inches out on each side wears on the tire. The outer ridges are perfectly fine. I bought the truck used but did not notice this kind of tire wear on the set I replaced. I run the tires at 55psi which is what my door panel says to run them at. I brought the tires to the shop I got them and they said they cannot warranty for wear cause its uneven.. I had roated the tires 2 times by this time, not at the shop but I showed them receipts from the shops I went. I told them put the fronts on the back and I will be back in 6 months. Well I went back today and there very warn in the middle of the tire and they had plenty of meat on them 6 months ago. They said its the trucks fault with not enough bed weight. They said if I had more weight in the rear the tires would wear more even. They wont warranty them for wear now. Has anyone else had this problem before? If so what can I do to stop this...
I only have 21K on these tires and there 50K tires.

Question, what size tires, and what size rims are you using... My brother put 33/10.50's on his stock F-150 rims and had the same problem on all four corners, he now has narower tires that cost him less and will run longer because they wear evenly. I know on my truck, an 02 F350 4x4, I run 35 psi in the back and 60 psi in the front, but ONLY when I'm NOT hauling anything, other wise I have the same problem as you, only not quite so severe.

Your 285/75/16 should only be right at 33" over all. biggest thing, if you are not hauling weight, you need to drop the pressure. I just put on same size tire, and not quite dialed in where the tires will run flat, but starting at 43 in fronts and 35 in rears. But as stated earlier that is empty, I usually put the back to 55 when towing the trailer around and leave the front alone. One trick I have learned is to use chalk and run a line across the tire, drive a few miles, get out and check to see what part of the chalk is missing, missing in center, too much air, missing on outside edges, then tire is too low.
